Royal Cashews Bags Gold Award at Industrial Excellence Awards 2023

Royal Cashews, a proud Sri Lankan company empowering local cashew cultivators, and has reached greater heights in local and international markets, won the Gold Award in the Snacks and Confectionery Product category at the National Industrial Excellence Awards organised by the Industrial Development Board (IDB).

The award ceremony was recently held at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre in Colombo under the patronage of the President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Minister of Health and Industries Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, the State Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Prasanna Ranaweera, the State Minister of Primary Industries Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, and the Chairman of the IDB Dr. Saranga Alahapperuma.

Being the first cashew processing company in Sri Lanka with all certificates of standardisation such as the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Standard Certification, the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems Standard Certification, the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certifications, Royal Cashews is working painstakingly to add new, high quality cashew products with scientifically enhanced new flavours to both local and international markets.

Royal Cashews cashew nut and related products are exported to several parts of the world such as Malaysia, Japan, America, Switzerland, Britain, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, China, West Indies, and Maldives. In addition, it is Royal Cashews that has the largest cashew sales outlet network in the country with 15 showrooms located in foremost locations such as One Galle Face, Shangri-La, Colombo City Centre, Crescat, Marino Mall, WTC, Nugegoda, Borella, K-Zone, KCC, Welipenna Service Area, and Galle.

Royal Cashews has also introduced an online cashew delivery system where cashews could be delivered free of charge to any point in Sri Lanka. Through that, cashew products in 19 varied flavours could be purchased in 682 varied packagings and gift packs at special discounted prices.

In 1999, Royal Cashews was launched with the objective of taking Sri Lankan cashews to the international level. At present, Royal Cashews has become a group of companies in partnership with Royal Food Marketing (Pvt) Ltd, Trust Lanka Suppliers (Pvt) Ltd. and Green Way Asia Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. All three companies purchase the harvests of cashew cultivator, turn them into value-added products in their factory, and supply to the local and global markets.
