Kasturi Chellaraja Wilson becomes the first female Group CEO in Sri Lanka

Kasturi Chellaraja Wilson has been announced as the next CEO to head Hemas Holdings PLC effective October 2020, making her the first female Group CEO of a public quoted conglomerate in Sri Lanka. Effective July 1 she will also assume duties as a Non-executive Director of Hemas Holdings PLC. 

A former student of Holy Family Convent, she is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and an Alumni of Harvard Business School. She has also represented Sri Lanka as a member of the National Netball and Basketball teams. 

Wilson started her career at Someswaran, Jayawickreme & Co. in 1987 as an audit trainee. She has held many lead position in a number of leading companies since. She joined Hemas in March 2002 as Director Finance of HemTours. In March 2019 she was named as one of the 12 most powerful and influential women in Sri Lanka. She is also an activist and motivational speaker.
