Calton wins National Industry Brand Excellence Award

Calton Sweet House Pvt. Ltd. has been recognised as the Best National Industry Brand in the Medium-Scale Food and Beverage Sector at the National Industry Brand Excellence Awards 2024. Organised by the Industrial Development Board under the Ministry of Industries, the award ceremony was held recently in Colombo. Deshamanya Mahesh De Silva, the Director of Finance and Information Technology at Calton Group, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Established in 1991, Calton Sweet House is a key part of Calton Group, which has built a strong reputation in the food and beverage industry in the country, particularly the Negombo region for over 30 years. The group also includes Calton Hyper Market, Calton Distributors, Kanthi Distributors, Calton Catering, and C7 by Calton. Together, these businesses create exceptional value for customers by producing and distributing food products and partnering with leading companies like Unilever, Pyramid Wilmar, and Upfield.

The company specialises in manufacturing and distributing a wide range of products, including cakes, baked goods, fried snacks, semi-processed fruit products, cooked grains, and frozen bakery food items. It operates more than 20 sales outlets across Negombo, Katunayake, Katuneriya, Divulapitiya, Ja-Ela, Kochchikade, One Galle Face Mall, and two outlets at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake. The company is certified with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, ensuring that all products meet both local and international food safety and quality standards. Calton ensures that every product is packed safely to preserve its taste and nutrition, and distributes it with love and care in a secure space. Calton Group started as a small store with just four employees in 1983. Over the years, it has grown into a trusted brand with around 300 permanent staff members. The company has also won multiple awards, including SLIM Excellence. Calton Group endeavours and continues to serve the needs of its customers and community.
