A popular retailer in Colombo, Barefoot today announced it would close down temporarily after a stock room staffer tested positive for Covid 19. Announcing the closure the management said the store had been abiding by the safety regulations since opening its doors following lockdown.
The management said that one staff member however tested positive for Covid 19 today (05) after contracting the virus from a family member. According to the management, all staff who were directly associated with the staffer has been directed to quarantine. However, the store will reopen shortly after taking necessary procedures and sanitation steps according to the advice of the area PHI the management said.
