Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Joins Ashok Pathirage’s Softlogic Group

Softlogic Life, a top life insurance provider in Sri Lanka and part of Ashoka Pathirage’s Softlogic Group, has announced its agreement to acquire 100% of Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Ltd., pending approval from the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka.

This strategic acquisition aligns with Softlogic Life’s vision to provide high-quality insurance solutions while broadening its market reach. By integrating Allianz Life’s operations, the company aims to enhance its product offerings and strengthen its distribution network.

With over 750,000 active policies, Softlogic Life currently holds the largest life insurance customer base in the country. This acquisition is expected to accelerate its long-term expansion, leveraging the company’s expertise in digital transformation and customer-focused services.

Softlogic Life’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence has set new industry benchmarks, particularly in efficient claim processing and digital advancements. The company’s dedication to customer satisfaction has reinforced trust within the market.

In 2024, the company reported gross written premiums (GWPs) of Rs. 31.6 billion, marking a tenfold increase over the past decade. It currently provides coverage for over 1.3 million Sri Lankans, representing 13% of the country’s working population.
