A 1500 fuel liters monthly fuel quota for a new state minister : wings are not clipped as said!

Although a new circular has been issued In view of the current economic crisis it has been stipulated to provide 06 vehicles instead of 08 for a state minister and his staff government sources revealed. According to new circular issued each of state minister will be entitled for 1500 liters of petrol or diesel for 03 vehicles of him and 40,000 rupees will be received as communication charges monthly.

Even under the new situation, the 37 state ministers who took oath recently have to allocate 222 government vehicles, according to government sources said.

According to the previous circulars on public expenditure management, they were entitled for 08 vehicles and according to the new circular issued yesterday (09), the number of vehicles approved by the Minister of State has been reduced by only two.

A state minister will have three vehicles for his use and security, and the Private sectratary will have one vehicle, and two common vehicles will be allocated from the pool for the Coordinating Secretaries, Press Secretary and Public Relations Officer.

Some state ministers have accused that they do not have enough facilities under the new situation and they have asked the leaders of the political parties to inform the president to provide them with vehicles from the existing vehicles of other institutions owned by the relevant ministries and to prepare the necessary background to get the necessary facilities for their affairs from the relevant institutions, It was revealed to Lankasara .
