High Commissioner Moragoda meets Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister

High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India Milinda Moragoda paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, today (01) at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in New Delhi. Minister Puri holds the portfolio of Housing and Urban Affairs as well.

Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, an illustrious career diplomat prior to joining politics and who had served in Colombo during the period 1984-1988, warmly welcomed High Commissioner Moragoda. During the discussion that followed, the Minister and the High Commissioner focused on a range of issues pertaining to energy, including the ways and means through which the existing cooperation between Sri Lanka and India in the Petroleum sector could be broadened and deepened.

High Commissioner Moragoda also presented a copy of his policy roadmap “The Integrated Country Strategy for Sri Lanka Diplomatic Missions in India 2021/2023” to Minister Puri
