Prison doctor receives death threats from Rishard – A Complaint lodged in Borella Police

The Medical Officer of Borella Magazine Prison has lodged a complaint with the Borella Police yesterday (21) alleging that he had received death threats from remanded former minister Rishard Bathiudeen. It is reported that the investigation into the complaint has been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division from today by the order of the Western Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon.

The Medical Officer Dr. Priyanka Indunil has stated in this complaint that this incident has taken place on last 15th. While he was seeing patients at the prison medical center he has advised a prisoner who attempted to come in to stay outside until he ask to come in. According to the Dr the angered prisoner has threatened to kill him.

“Do you not know what I did when I came here? If I want, I can send you to another world,” he said. If you struggle too much, you and your car will burn on the road. According to the complaint, the doctor had complained that the wife would not have a husband as well as a father for the child

However, the doctor did not know who was threatening him at the time but did not know that the person was Rishad Bathiudeen until he mentioned his name at the time, the doctor has mentioned in his complaint to the police.
