A British national was arrested yesterday afternoon (23) in connection with the alleged theft of goods worth Rs. 2,590 from a supermarket in Habaraduwa town, according to the Habaraduwa Police.

The suspect has been identified as Timothy Graham Anderson, a 65-year-old British national. Police investigations revealed that he arrived in Sri Lanka on May 26.
The arrest was made following a complaint lodged by the supermarket manager with the Habaraduwa Police.
The suspect was scheduled to be produced before the Galle Magistrate’s Court today (24).
