Police say that Additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General’s Department, Dileepa Peiris, has been provided with special security.
They stated that this decision was taken considering the current situation. Dileepa Peiris has represented the Attorney General’s Department in several controversial cases recently. He also appeared on behalf of the Department in the case that led to the remand of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
