A Chinese tourist had a miraculous escape after falling from a train on Sri Lanka’s coastal railway line. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon (7th) while she was traveling between Wellawatte and Bambalapitiya.
The woman was hanging onto the footboard of the moving train, attempting to record her journey on video with the help of a friend. As her friend filmed the scene, a tree branch struck her head, causing her to lose her balance and fall off the train.
Luckily, she landed on a bush, which cushioned her fall and left her unharmed. The police confirmed that no injuries were sustained and urged passengers to prioritize safety while traveling.
