A major terrorist attack targeted the Pakistan Air Force base in Mianwali, northern Pakistan, yesterday (03) night. The attack involved suicide bombers and resulted in a heavy firefight with the security forces. Several videos of the attack were shared on social media.

The Pakistani military confirmed that three militants were killed in response to the attack, while three others remained active within the base. The attack has been claimed by Tehreek-e-Jihad, a group affiliated with the Taliban. The Pakistan Air Force has reported that the attackers have been eliminated, and a clearance operation is underway.

The attackers breached the security fence of the air force base, gaining access using a ladder. Six suicide attackers armed with advanced weaponry entered the base, and three of them were killed.

The attack resulted in damage to several aircraft parked within the base. The Pakistan military has confirmed the attack and the extent of the damage but describes it as a failed terrorist attempt.
