The Media portfolio will be shifted from Bandula Gunawardena to Manusha Nanayakkara in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle, reliable government sources disclosed to Lankasar
The primary reason for this change is that information regarding certain media heads who have been appointed to positions in the state media were reported to the president and the media minister’s image enhancement operation in the state media became unpopular within the ruling party itself sources further said.
It is also reported that the President has expressed confidence that Manusha Nanayakkara will carry out the responsibility of this subject more efficiently and independently.
