Yaldevi the Jaffna bound routine train will be stopped at Anuradhapura for 5 months from January 5 due to reconstruction works on the northern rail track between Anuradhapura-Vavuniya The Railway Department says.
For five months from that date, all the trains will run only between Colombo Fort and Anuradhapura.

The Railway Department further mentions that buses will be deployed from Anuradhapura to Vavuniya for the convenience of passengers and the ‘Yalrani’ train running from Kankasanthuraya to Murukkandi will run between Vavuniya and Murukkandi during the same period of five months.
