A woman has been remanded until December 9th for deliberately running over and killing a street dog named “Blackie” with her car. The order was given after she was produced before the Homagama Magistrate’s Court.
The incident took place on the 14th in the Ambagasduwa area of Pannipitiya. According to the police, CCTV footage clearly shows the woman intentionally driving her car over the animal.
“Blackie” was a dog loved by many in the neighborhood. Following a complaint filed the Kottawa Police, the suspect was arrested and brought to court.
