Wimal , Udaya & the team stops “Wimal’s Sulanga” Nugegoda rally

The much talked public rally which was organized by the members of 11 political parties led by ousted ministers Wimal Weerawansha and Udaya Gammanpila have decided abruptly to not to hold on due date sources said. “Wimal Sulanga” rally which was scheduled to be held in Nugegoda on the April 11th.

According to reliable sources, the Wimal Sulanga Rally, which was to be held with the participation of a large number of people, was abruptly stopped due to pressure from high places of the government.

Meanwhile the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) which was a main party was with the coalition has objected to the rally which was planned to expose the wrongdoings of the government and certain corruptions and frauds against the government.

It is reported that the direct opposition of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to the rally, which is now re-aligned with the government, was also one of the reasons for stopping Wimal and Gammanpila from being removed from the government.

Although the rally was not held, members of 11 parties are planning to hold a massive rally in Colombo on May 1 to mark May Day, the sources said.
