Troops of the Navy along with STF personnel recovered a cache of weapons including 15 mortar shells buried in the Udayarkattuwa area in Mullaittivu on Tuesday night.

During the search operations conducted, troops recovered 02 60mm and 81mm bombs, 02 120mm mortar bombs, 12 60mm Illumination para-mortar bombs, and one other unidentified mortar bomb.
The deactivation of the mortar bombs was handed over to the Kilinochchi Police Special Task Force Bomb Disposal Unit.
