Veteran actress Sumana Amarasinghe has passed away. She was 74 years old at the time of her death.
She was born born on 21 February 1948 in Katugastota, Kandy, and She acted in 84 films from 1967 to 2011.
.Her maiden cinematic experience came through 1967 film Pipena Kumudu, directed by Ruby de Mel. Following that she acted in many popular films such as Rena Giraw, Dahasak Sithuvili, Samanala Kumariyo and Hathara Peraliya. Sumana produced 06 films.
Sumana Amarasinghe was the wife of Roy de Silva, a well-known actor and director who passed away in 2018.
