Veteran Actor W. Jayasiri Dies at Age 77

W. Jayasiri, a well-known Sri Lankan actor, screenwriter, and lyricist, has passed away at 77. He was widely respected for his contributions to the entertainment industry and was loved by many in the arts community.

In addition to his work in the arts, Jayasiri was a strong supporter of Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power (NPP). Dissanayake is currently leading in the Presidential Election results and has gained a lot of support across the country, with Jayasiri being one of his key advocates.

Jayasiri’s death is a great loss for Sri Lankan cinema and the creative world. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of performances and writings that touched the hearts of many.
