The prices of vegetables at the Dambulla Economic Center has shot up according to sources. The decline in stocks of vegetables due to the rains has contributed to this sudden increase in prices.
Accordingly, the price of one kilogram of green chillies at the Dambulla Economic Center today was Rs. 700. One kilogram of pumpkin is being sold for Rs. 240 while one kilogram of corn was being sold for Rs. 140.
