The first consignment of the COVISHEILD vaccine will arrive in Sri Lanka on Wednesday (27) President Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced today. The President made this revelation while attending another ‘Gama Samaga Pilisandarak’ program in Kalutara. Rajapaksa said the first consignment will have 600 000 vaccines.
The President also said steps will be taken to provide the first doses of the vaccine to frontline workers, healthcare workers, and armed forces and police personnel.
