Two 14-year-old students studying in the 10th grade of a Matale popular school have been arrested by the Matale police on the suspicion of sharing manipulated photograph of a young dancing teacher through social media.
The police said that after the dancing teacher complained about the incident to the Matale Police yesterday, the two suspected students were arrested after checking their mobile phones.
This young teacher was assigned to this school for a one-year internship at the end of her studies at Mahaweli National College of Education in Polgolla.
The two students who were arrested on suspicion are to be presented to the court with a probation report. At present, the police are interrogating another group of students from the WhatsApp group.
