Temporary Ban Imposed on Entry to SLFP Headquarters due to Missing Files Investigation

In response to a complaint lodged by Acting General Secretary Dushmantha Mitrapala, access to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party headquarters at Darley Road, Colombo, has been temporarily restricted. The complaint pertains to the alleged disappearance of certain files from the party’s premises.

Police authorities have confirmed the initiation of preliminary investigations into the matter and have consequently prohibited entry to the headquarters until further notice.

According to reports, Acting General Secretary Dushmantha Mitrapala filed the complaint with the Maradana Police yesterday (05), highlighting the disappearance of specific files from the Freedom Party headquarters. Subsequently, law enforcement agencies have commenced inquiries into the matter to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the missing documents.

In light of the ongoing investigation, access to the Freedom Party headquarters remains restricted as of today (06). Acting General Secretary Mitrapala has expressed concern over the situation, noting that the police have also restricted entry to the auditorium within the premises, despite its lack of connection to the reported incident.
