Suspects in Sunil Jayawardene’s killing remanded again

The eight suspects arrested in the killing of Sunil Jayawardene, the Chairman of the Lanka Self-Employed Professionals’ National Three-Wheeler Federation was remanded again today by the Nugegoda Magistrates Court. The suspects were remanded till July 17. 

Jayawardene was allegedly attacked and killed by the suspects on June 10 at a private leasing company in Embuldeniya, Nugegoda. The incident had taken place over an argument regarding a three-wheeler seized by the group after its owner, a member of the Federation, had defaulted on the payments.
