A Sri Lankan medical student found dead in Belarus!

At Grodno State Medical University in Belarus, a fourth-year Sri Lankan medical student was discovered dead Friday (30th) in a student dormitory room.

According to reports, other students rushed to the late student’s dorm to check for him after becoming concerned that he had not returned their calls and discovered his dead body.

The deceased is a 24-year-old student named Tishan Kularatne.

Tishan Kularatne attended a prestigious boys’ school in Kandy. He was enrolled in the University of Grodno, Belarus, with the intention of becoming a doctor after passing the A-level in the biology stream.

This student was also talented in extra-curricular activities, having worked as the deputy prefect during the school period.

At the time of his death, this student had won the award for the best student of the year in the first, second and third years at the university.

He has worked very amicably with the students studying at the university by teaching them the missed lessons.

According to the classmates that went in search of the deceased student, a bandage was discovered around the student’s neck with one end of it attached to a cupboard within the room.

The Belarusian police are investigating whether the student committed suicide or died from another cause.
