Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Nilanga Dela Bandara said it was impractical to open the religious place for the public tomorrow (12) under the strict health regulations of the Government. Speaking to Lankasara he said the main issue would be the regulation on allowing more than 50 pilgrims at one time inside the premises.
However, he said steps have been taken to open the Sri Dalada Maligawa on Monday (15) and that a discussion will also be held with the President on holding the annual Dalada Perehera. He said the Presidents opinion will be sought in this matter prior to making a decision.
