Eron Ranasinghe alias SF Lokka had been shot eight times with a T56 automatic firearm before he was killed according to the Police. The underworld figure was shot dead today near the Dahaiyyagama junction in Anuradhapura while travelling in a car with his girlfriend.
According to sources, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle had opened fire on the vehicle thereby killing SF Lokka. However, his girlfriend had not sustained any injuries in the incident. The vehicle he had been travelling in had also caught fire and was destroyed despite the efforts of the Fire services. He was 32 years old at the time of his death.
Ranasinghe (SF Lokka) is the main accused in the killing of Wasantha Soysa, a former Karate champion and club owner in Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura Magistrate has ordered the Police to trace and arrest the shooters and present them to court immediately.
The 33-year-old underworld figure had been needed by police over different wrongdoings and charges.
“SF Lokka” had supposedly joined the SL Army on March 2, 2007 and had allegedly abandoned his post at the Special Forces Regiment on June 15, 2015.
He is additionally primarily blamed for the homicide of nightclub proprietor Wasantha de Zoysa in 2015.
Anuradhapura Police are researching the homicide, Police representatives SSP Jaliya Senaratne said.
