A seven-member committee has been appointed by Power and Energy Minister Dullas Alahapperuma to look into the cause of the island wide power outage yesterday (17).
The Minister has instructed the Committee to submit its final report within seven days.
The power supply to the entire island was cut off at around 12.30 yesterday afternoon and power has been restored fully in all areas since.
