Sources at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital say that the rumors that the young man who made a remarkable speech to police officers during a recent protest in front of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s private residence in Mirihana has died are completely false.
The young man has been beaten. He is being treated at Ward 37 of the Kalubowila Hospital after being assaulted. Hospital sources also confirmed that the victims of the attack are slowly recovering.
