A guard attached to the Welikada Prison, who holds the post of President in the Prison Guards Association, was arrested last night (27) on a drug charge at his residence in Borella.
The suspect has been arrested by a special police team from the Western North Crimes Division.
He is being further investigated and is due to be produced in court today.
