Well-known you tuber and social activist Darshana Hadungoda has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department early today (06).
He was arrested when he arrived at Katunayake International Airport from Dubai.
He ran the YouTube channel “SL-Desaya” which built a strong political and social discourse in the country.
He has been engaging in his media career by contacting politicians, civil and security chiefs, and social activists in every part of the country, questioning them directly and exposing controversial corruption.

The Criminal Investigation Department stated that he was arrested in connection with controversial comments posted on social media.
