The Ministerial Advisory Committee on State Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government Affairs has reached a unanimous decision to annul the nominations that were previously submitted for the upcoming local government elections.
This decision was made during a session of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government held yesterday (20) in Parliament. The committee was chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of State Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, Dinesh Gunawardena.
The meeting saw the participation of several state ministers, including Janaka Vakkambura and Ashoka Priyanatha, as well as members of parliament, relevant government institutions, and department officials.
