Julie Chung, the new US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, said that she would study the languages spoken by the various ethnic groups in Sri Lanka and make a great contribution to the people. She has already started learning Sinhala and Tamil languages.
She said in a statement that she did not see language learning as a difficult task and that she now believes that her pronunciation of words is very accurate when learning languages.

She is currently studying to master the Tamil and Sinhala languages.
