Namal Rajapaksa calls for inquiry on Police attack on FLSP protestors

Former Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa has called for an inquiry on the attack which took place yesterday on peaceful protestors by the Police. Members of the Front Line Socialist Party (FLSP) were attacked and arrested by the Police at Colpetty and the Lipton roundabout yesterday. 53 party members were taken into custody.

Tweeting today, Rajapaksa said the recent behaviour of some Police officers should not tarnish the track record of the entire department and their efforts during Covid 19. The MP said he strongly condemns the attack on protestors and called for an investigation to be launched on the incident.
