Mobile phone of a male servant at Rishard’s home taken to the Police

The police team, investigating the incident of the death of a 16-year girl at former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen’s residence, have taken over the mobile phone of a male domestic aide of the house for further investigations.

According to the Police Spokesman SDIG, Ajith Rohana said the mobile phone of the 19-year-old worker was handed over to the CID to get a detailed report of the deleted data and information.

Two police teams that were deployed to record statements and investigate the incident had yesterday (20) recorded statements from the principal and deputy principal of a Tamil School in Puwakpitiya, Avissawella where the girl had studied before they moved to Dayagama in Hatton. Further investigations are underway.
