Sources in government printing suggest that the upcoming 39-candidate Presidential ballot could be the longest in history if designed as a single column. The ballot paper might be 2 feet 3 inches long (27 inches) and 5 inches wide.
An official from the government printing department stated that the decision to use a single or double-column format lies with the Election Commission. If a double-column format is chosen, the ballot will be 13.5 inches long.
Printing a long ballot paper with security features could increase costs. In the last presidential election, the ballot was around 25 inches long.
