Lanka Hospital bomb: Suspect found it from a government elite house in Colombo 7!

The suspect who was arrested in connection with the grenade which was placed in a toilet of the Lanka Hospital in Narahenpita has revealed to the investigating officers how he got the grenade, according to police sources. Accordingly, he has stated that he found this grenade three months ago at a government official residence in Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 07, where government dignitaries reside.

He had further stated that he had been involved in the repair work of the house at that time and had come across it while doing the work. Accordingly, a team of investigators has gone to the spot and it has been revealed that a government cabinet minister is currently residing in the house. However, according to the suspect, the grenade was found before the minister had settled down.

The suspect has revealed that it was found in a table drawer in a room of the house. The sources said that statements are being obtained from the suspect and further investigations are being carried out as to why he was brought to the hospital.
