ISIS leader made Sri Lanka’s chief of terror operations

Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Voronkov has warned that Shihab Al Muhajir the new leader of ISIS, will continue to play a leading role in operations in Central Asian countries, including Sri Lanka, PTI reports.

He was referring to his latest report on the ISIS terrorist threat, according to a media report.

According to the UN Asian Representatives, there are between 1,000 and 2,200 ISIS militants in the region.
