The leader of an ISIS outfit still operating secretly in Sri Lanka has been arrested by a special police investigation team in Kattankudy after a lengthy covert operation.
This extremist leader is said to be a 20 year old youth. Police sources reveal that he had formed a friendship with Zaharan Hashim at the age of 17.
He has been presented to court and is being held on detention orders at the Batticaloa Police. Investigators are continuing to question the detainee on Zaharan and their organizational agreements as well as future plans, police said.Police are conducting further investigations.
