Indictments over the abduction of 11 persons against Karannagoda to be withdrawn

The Attorney General is to withdraw indictments in connection with the abduction of eleven persons, filed against former Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda, Senior State Counsel Awanthi Perera informed the Court of Appeal that the at Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar today (13).

The Attorney General filed indictments against former Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda and 13 others in connection with alleged abduction, torture, extortion and conspiracy to murder 11 persons in 2008 and 2009.
