The Colombo High Court yesterday adjudicated (24) the case involving the suspicious death of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen as former Chief JMO of Colombo Prof. Ananda Samarasekera who was the suspect, in this case, had passed away.
High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne considering the submission made by the counsel who appeared in court on behalf of the relatives of the former JMO asserted that Prof Ananda Samarasekera had passed away. Accordingly, the Judge closed further proceedings against Samarasekara.
The former JMO was indicted for covering up forensic evidence into the suspicious death of rugby player Thajudeen in July 2012.
