Police are searching for a 26-year-old woman who has gone missing since June 19. The missing woman, identified as Kalpani Dinupama a resident of 108/4, Andeniya, Badulla and a lab technician of the Bandarawela Zonal Education Office had boarded a bus to Kurunegala on the day. According to her family, Kalpani travels to her husband’s house in Kurunegala every weekend.
The CCTV of the bus stand last shows Kalpani boarding a bus plying to Kandy on June 19. However, she had never arrived at her husband’s house. According to her mother, they have no heard from Kalpani since. Her husband, Sidath Thilakaratne has also put out an appeal on his Facebook page for any information about his wife. According to him, she had last messaged him at 8.46 am on the day and confirmed that she had boarded the bus.
