Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivad Cabraal says in a Twitter message the official foreign reserve has reached to 3.1 Billion USD as at today. “In keeping with our previous announcements, the official reserve position of the Central Bank has today reached approximately USD 3.1 billion and will remain around that level by end 2021 as well. However he has not elaborate the wa of the inflow. Some financial experts believe 1.5 Billion swap facility from China has contributed this situation.
