A renowned Indian Touch Heal therapist, who frequently visited Sri Lanka to see patients Dr. Shashikanth Seth passed away last Saturday morning (22) in Mumbai, India at the age of 79 years. A recipient of the prestigious “Hind Rattan” Award which he had received from the former Indian President Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma, Dr. Shashikanth Seth had won many awards and appreciation from many countries during his career as a Touch healing therapist.

Dr. Seth has treated and conducted training courses on how to treat Physical and Mental ailments including frozen shoulder, Spondylosis, Migraine, Back, Hand, and Leg pain along with heart problems, Stomach Disorders, Diabetes, Asthma, Cold, Stress and fertility problems by using touch healing therapy, He had developed a herbal treatment for malaria and an Inhaler using Camphor as well as a touch healer, he was a frequent visitor to Sri Lanka since 1990s where he considered as his second home.

The health article I wrote on the ayurvedic remedy he had provided using to treat cholesterol had become popular among many. Besides his treatment, the soft-spoken Dr. Shashikant Seth is a good friend and a kind-hearted father to me who was always keen to inform me prior to his arrival in Sri Lanka whenever he was planning to visit the country.

The funeral of Dr. Seth was held in Mumbai last Saturday evening and a condolence ceremony is scheduled to be held on the 27th of April behalf of him according to his family.
