A controversial audio recording released on social media by teledrama actor and Samagi Jana Balawegaya Kalutara organizer Charith Abeysinghe has sparked fresh controversy over alleged links between politicians and organized crime figures.
The audio purportedly contains discussions relating to large sums of money allegedly collected on the promise of intervening in legal matters concerning Nadun Chinthaka, alias “Harak Kata,” who is currently in state custody after being extradited to Sri Lanka.

The recording also includes allegations involving Attorney-at-Law Rakhitha Rajapaksa and claims regarding the distribution of money among various individuals. However, subsequent portions of the audio reportedly suggest that certain named officials did not receive the funds as initially claimed.
The recordings further contain unverified allegations concerning dealings with underworld figures and disputes over financial arrangements. In the audio, a woman identified as Harak Kata’s wife is heard making claims about the alleged transactions and the individuals involved.
The authenticity of the recordings and the allegations contained within them have not been independently verified, and no court has ruled on the claims made in the audio.
