The public is advised to refrain from taking such drugs as information is being revealed that various medicinal capsules are being published on social media to suppress Covid Dr Priyadarshani Galappaththi, Professor of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Colombo Medical Faculty.
She points out that even some Western doctors are promoting the sale of capsules, claiming that Covid can cure it and that such actions are contrary to medical ethics.
She also said that the Medical Registration Agency and the National Drug Regulatory Authority will take action in this regard as information has come to light that some doctors are trying to provide certain treatments and medicines to the public at exorbitant prices, which are not scientifically proven.
