It has been revealed today that one out of every five patients over 60 years who are diagnosed with Covid in the Kandy District has died of the pandemic. This was revealed at the Kandy District Covid Coordinating Committee meeting held through Zoom technology today.
Kandy Epidemiologist Dr. Pasan Jayasinghe said that 2721 people over the age of 60 in the Kandy District were diagnosed with Covid and 543 of them had died.

The epidemiologist also said that the adult community would be at serious risk if they did not take immediate action.
