Dumith Fernando appointed as Chairman of Colombo Stock Exchange

Dumith Fernando, who has held lead position in a number of local and international finance companies has been appointed as the Chairman of the Colombo Stock Exchange. 

He will take over from Ray Aberywardene who held the Chairmanship for nearly 13 years on July 1. Dumith serves as an independent director of Union Assurance and Singer,, and is also a committee member of the Board of Investments Sri Lanka.

With an experience of over 25 years, Dumith has worked for international companies such as J.P Morgan and Credit Suisse as well. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School.
