Latest statistics released by the Ministry of Health shows that todate 10 183 patients have recovered after contracting the Covid 19 virus. According to the Ministry 646 persons recovered and were released from hospital today (11).
Another 4491 patients continue to receive treatment at hospitals and various other treatment centers around the country.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka has recorded 42 deaths due to the Covid 19 virus. The latest death recorded was that of a 80 year old male from Panadura. He was declared dead after being admitted to the Police hospital. According to officials he had suffered a heart attack due to complications arising out of Covid 19 infection.
