It was reported from Katunayake today (19) that at least 17 garment workers who had been quarantined for one and a half months continuously at their lodgings as their close contacts kept getting positive for Covid 19 at different times have also tested positive for Covid 19.
The private women’s hostel had 48 lodgers. Following 17 of them testing positive, the remaining 31 are still quarantined in the hostel, the local health officials said.
